The story
The solarium is a 1938 Art Deco style building on Blackpool Promenade. As part of a major renovation of the building, Sundog Energy provided a bespoke glass-glass PV array to the main roof and corridors. This was augmented by two wind turbines installed beside the buildings main entrance.
The solarium building has proved very successful with a large number of visitors. Plans are afoot to increase the renewable energy systems on site.
