There's £50 million in the pot for renewable energy installations on "public buildings".
The money is managed by the BRE as part of the Low Carbon Buildings: Phase 2 programme from BERR – Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory
Reform (formerly the DTI).

Apply for up to £1 million or 50% of your project cost.
Grants will cover multiple properties and a maximum of three micro-generation technologies (e.g. solar PV, wind turbines and solar thermal available via TLCP).
Applications for more than one site will be accepted.
Libraries, hospitals, schools, doctor’s and dentist’s surgeries, police, coastguard,
charity buildings, MoD premises, town and village halls, universities, council houses, housing associations, local authorities ...
